The Role

We are looking for a part time consulting Veterinary Surgeon to join our team on a fixed term basis from now until October 2022 with the possibility of an extension. The position is based at our Liphook branch, which is a fully functional, petite branch and it has all the modern toys to enable a full diagnostic examination of the patients. There would be full support from the main branch that has digital x-ray, ultrasound, and endoscopy.
This position is working 2 days per week, with every other Saturday morning 8:00am – 12:00pm (this can be negotiable). No OOH as we use a dedicated night service to cover this need.

Salary for the role is £54,000.00 FTE depending on experience. This calculates as £27,000.00 per annum working 20 hours per week.

About Us

We are situated in the beautiful South Downs, a stone’s throw away from the coast and London, giving the best of both worlds. We are an hour from both Heathrow and Gatwick Airport allowing for close transport links to Europe and beyond. We have recently had our kennels refurbished, having a separate dog and cat ward allowing for improved patient welfare.
We have lots of toys, to name a few, digital x-ray, a multiparameter anaesthetic monitoring machine, blood pressure, microscope, in house biochemistry and haematology blood machines, ultrasound with cardiac and an abdominal probe, laser, ECG, endoscope and tonometer.
We have a lovely shared flat attached to the practice so we can offer a home for you as well as work place.

Team and Culture

We would confidently say one of our unique selling points would be our team. If you are looking to join a warm and friendly team then we would love to hear from you. We have an amazing team of Vets, Nurses, VCA's and Receptionists. All working together to achieve an excellent standard of care. We have a nurturing culture, with a high emphasis for learning and development. We have several certificate holders who are always sharing their knowledge and discuss cases with the nursing team.

We encourage our nurses to pursue their passions in whatever form. We look after the residents of a local Cats Protection Adoption Centre, meaning there is not a week that goes by without a kitten cuddle.

Applicant Requirements

We are seeking a compassionate experienced Vet who will enjoy taking sole responsibility of the branch. We do hope you will be hard working, kind, considerate, have a high energy, a positive can-do attitude, be happy to use your initiative and use time and resources effectively.
