The Role
We are looking for a small animal Veterinary Surgeon with interests in both consulting and surgery, to join us here at Midforest Veterinary Practice. We strive to create a supportive team environment and the team will encourage you to develop your own interests. We are dedicated to providing excellent care and support our staff in clinical freedom, case independence and continuity and we offer a varied caseload.
We are happy to accept both full/part-time applications for this role, with the view to work 2-4 days a week, with 2:5 Saturdays and a share of in-house patient care.
The salary for this role is up to £55,000 depending on experience.
About Us
Midforest Vets have 2 branches located in the New Forest area, this vacancy will primarily be based at our Lyndhurst site, which has RCVS Practice Standards Status. We have excellent facilities, including ultrasound, dental X-ray, and an in-house blood machine. Our Lyndhurst team is made up of 3 vets, our dedicated support team of 3 nurses and 3 receptionists, with several certificate holders across the practice.
Applicant Requirements
We are looking for a Vet who is confident in all aspects of general practice as there will be the occasional sole charge duties. Must be a team player with a compassionate and caring nature. The successful applicant will be as happy in the consult room as in the theatre, have excellent communication skills, and the ability to work well within a team. Developing client bonds and case continuity is very important in this role. There is clinical freedom to work up your own cases and the caseload would support studying towards a certificate, which we as practice strongly encourage!
