This role would suit an already established lead vet looking for an opportunity to grow within a new company or an experienced vet looking to take the next step in their career. Branch Partnership opportunities within this practice are also available where you can own part of the clinic, have complete clinical freedom whilst receiving full support from the wider Medivet network.
This is a permanent, full-time role working 39 hours a week over four days but we're open to being flexible where we can so get in touch and let us know what works for you.
Negotiable salary package.

We can also support Certificates of Sponsorship for a Tier 2 (General) Visa if you meet the criteria and are eligible to register as a veterinary surgeon with the RCVS upon arrival in the UK.

- Manage the sales performance, budget and overall profitability of the practice on a day-to-day basis. - Ensure all team members provide quality and ethical care to all clients and their pets/livestock. - Assess and examine and diagnose patients’ medical issues. - Perform surgery, dress and treat wounds. - Perform diagnostic laboratory, imaging and ultrasound testing where required. - Prescribe medication. - Promote preventative care by advocating and administering routine vaccinations and immunisations. - Educate clients on positive lifestyle choices for pets/livestock. - Euthanise patients. - Ensure compliance with veterinary ethics and relevant statutes, policies, and procedures. - Maintain patients’ medical records.
Skills and experience
- Registered with the RCVS. - Qualified MRCVS. - Commitment to animal welfare. - Ability to keep on top of practise protocols and procedures. - Excellent organisational skills.
The Long Sutton practice has a loyal friendly client base and a varied caseload. The team currently consists of one vet supported by two nurses. The practice is situated in the beautiful Lincolnshire/Norfolk border with easy access to many outdoor activities and beauty spots. Our branch comes well-equipped with digital x-rays, dental facilities, ultrasound, in-house laboratory and much more!
