My client is seeking a full time Lead Veterinary Surgeon for their fantastic independent practice!
The practice is an ISFM Gold Cat and Dog Friendly Clinic. They prioritise excellent communication and personalised care, fostering a trusting bond between pets, owners, and the team. They believe in good team communication and respecting the strengths of both clinical and non-clinical staff.
Facilities & Equipment include:
Digital CR dental radiography
Dedicated dental suite
Full in-house IDEXX lab
GE Logic E R8 ultrasound
Endoscopy and bronchoscopy
4 consulting rooms
Separate entrances/reception areas and wards for cats and dogs
RxWorks practice management system
They offer tailored, flexible care with longer consultations and call-back times to ensure thorough client communication and education. Their clients expect a comprehensive, scientific approach and many are insured, allowing them to offer direct claims. They are supported by visiting specialists in cardiology, imaging, and complex surgeries.
Position Details:
3-4 days per week, 1 in 3 Saturdays (day off in lieu)
No OOH
30-minute ward rounds (morning and afternoon)
1-hour lunch break
CPD allowance: £1,500 per year
RCVS and VDS fees covered
Comprehensive pension
Pro-rata holidays
Candidate Requirements:
Minimum 5 years’ experience in UK small animal practice
Interest in dentistry preferred
Confident in surgery, medicine, and emergencies
Ability to lead and support the clinical team
Candidates MUST be eligible to work in the United Kingdom and have the relevant visas, if required. Must also be registered on the RCVS.
