The RoleICR Vets are offering an exciting opportunity for a forward thinking and ambitious Veterinary Surgeon to join our well established and progressive small animal practice as a Senior Vet and Team Leader at our branch practice in Gorebridge. The role will involve leading and developing the clinical team, managing the day to day workflow in the clinic and being responsible for all aspects of clinical governance. Contribution to the management and organisation of the clinic will also be an important aspect to this role. A 4-day week, 9.5 hour days, and a 1:3 Saturday morning rota make this an attractive position providing a great work life balance. Within this role you will be expected to contribute to the success of your team in this way and in turn will be supported by our other Vet team Leaders and Clinical Directors, ensuring you can grow and develop within this role. About Us
The position is based in the largest of our branch clinics in Gorebridge, which is less than 10 miles from the beautiful city of Edinburgh. The practice as a whole is dedicated to excellence in both client and patient care and is equipped with the standard diagnostic tools including in-house blood machines, Doppler, multiparameter monitors, ultrasound, digital radiography including dental X-rays, etc and is supported by our main branch where blood-gas analysis, a Class IV Laser, endoscopy and laparoscopy are offered as well as hospital facilities and our own dedicated night team. Within our team we have an Internal Medicine and Dermatology Certificate holder, and an exotic specialist. We also have colleagues studying for Certificates in ECC, Internal medicine, Surgery and Behaviour. We also have an amazing team of RVNs, many of whom have further qualifications in ECC, behaviour and clinical pathology.
Applicant Requirements
The successful candidate will have previous leadership experience, be an excellent communicator who thrives on getting the best out of the team whilst striving for clinical excellence and a very high standard of client care. An MRCVS with previous clinical experience, demonstrable vision and enthusiasm is required for this role to create an environment of success for both the team and the practice.
