We are looking for a Deputy Clinical Director to assist with running our practice. This is a fantastic opportunity to join our enthusiastic and supportive, close knit team and take the next step in your career. As Deputy Clinical Director you will take a senior position working closely with our Clinical Director, leading from the front on clinical duties with some admin; planning the growth and development of our practice. Lots of support from our Clinical Director, Practice Manager, Nurse Manager, Practice Administrator and lovely team of receptionists. Full time Veterinary Surgeons work a 4-day week, although part time applications will also be considered. There are no out of hours requirements.
About the practice
We are a small animal practice, with one branch surgery which is consulting only. The practice has been established since the 1930s and has evolved over the years with the changing pace of veterinary medicine to offer a modern service with a well-established reputation. We are located in a busy market town close to the beautiful North Norfolk coastline. We are an hour’s drive from Norwich and London is 90 minutes away by train. We have a wide range of diagnostic and surgical equipment including state of the art dental suite, equipped with top of the range dentistry unit and dental radiography, fully equipped in-house laboratory, digital radiography, multiparameter anaesthetic monitors, tonopen and slit lamp. We have a separate cat ward, ISFM silver award and a strong emphasis on patient care.
We are a friendly, knowledgeable team of Veterinary Surgeons and Registered Veterinary Nurses. We have a really good mix of experience in our veterinary team, which includes Advanced Practitioners in Emergency and Critical Care and in Cardiology and a Certificate holder in Surgery. Our Vets work closely with each other, offering advice to their colleagues and working up cases together to achieve the best possible results for our patients. We see a varied caseload and our Veterinary Surgeons have clinical freedom and are well supported by proactive and experienced Nurses and Receptionists.
We are looking for a confident Veterinary Surgeon who has a positive attitude who is confident with all aspects of first opinion practice, good clinical knowledge, sound judgement and the ability to support and mentor others. Previous management experience is not essential as we can offer lots of support.
