We are looking for an enthusiastic vet who wants to expand their skills by joining our team working in an exceptionally well- equipped independent first opinion RCVS accredited hospital practice (including in house CT, MRI, digital radiography and laparoscopy) within a supportive environment. The role would be based between our branch surgeries and our main hospital, giving plenty of scope to follow through all cases with support as needed. The position would suit a one to two year qualified colleague who wants to develop their own niche within a multi-disciplinary team. We pride ourselves on the mutual support we offer each other and believe that everyone is valued and worthy of respect for the contribution they can offer to the group.
We see OOH as an essential part of the service we offer our loyal and supportive clients as well as an important part of our own clinical development so the job would include sharing in our 1:8 OOH rota, with a 4 ½ day week and 1:4 Saturdays followed by a day off in lieu. The on-site nurses give genuine 24 hour inpatient care and also answer the phone and triage calls so this is not unduly onerous but you have the satisfaction of knowing that you are providing the best possible care to your clients’ pets.
