The Role
We are looking for an experienced small animal vet surgeon to work within our Drumahoe & White House veterinary practices ideally on a full-time basis (we can consider part time applications). Working on caseloads from Orthopaedics, dentals, soft tissue surgery, medicine cases as well as routine surgeries.
Rota
Working 38 hours per week (Full time)
4.5 days per week
OOH rota is 1:18 weekends – with an additional day off the following week after on call
Weekends 1:3 nights – with a half day off the following week after on call nights
Salary:
Up to £50,000 negotiable D.O.E
Welcome bonus of up £1,500
Relocation package up to £5,000
About the practice(s)
Situated in the beautiful city of Derry both clinics have new modern facilities and equipment within the practices. We are RCVS accredited in all three areas of Small Animal, Large Animal & Equine. The team consists of 13 Vets, 8 RVN, 5 ACA/SVN & 6 support staff. One of our vets holds 2 certificates one in Surgery & one in Medicine. Another vet has done advanced CPD on orthopaedics surgery and we fully support and fund additional CPD.
We have a dedicated and modern operating theatre, an adjacent hospital unit to offer pre and post -operative care, minor theatre unit for all our routine procedures and dental work.
Candidate requirements
Ideally looking for an experienced small animal vet surgeon that is competent in all routine surgeries and have sole charge experience but can also consider new graduates for this role as full support will be given. Must be RVCS registered, relocation package available.
