We are looking to recruit a 2-5 year experienced equine vet to join our equine department based at our purpose-built hospital in beautiful Northumberland. This is a great opportunity to be part of a growing and enthusiastic equine team headed up by Anna, who has many years’ experience in all areas of equine work. Her previous jobs have taken her all over the world and we are so lucky that she has chosen to settle back in the UK with us to guide our team. Anna’s main interests are sports medicine and lameness, wound management, reproduction, gastroscopy and metabolic disorders and all things equine! The job will entail working at 4.5 day week and participating in the OOH rota.
We are a 22 vet, mixed practice in mid Northumberland. We have separate farm, equine and small animal departments. We provide our own out of hours serviced based at our hospital. We have an equine nursing assistant who works alongside our equine vets. We offer a full range of services including vaccinations, dentals, radiography, endoscopy, lameness investigations and pre-purchase examinations. We have facilities including trot up, a stocks room, examination room and 4 in patient stables. We can provide a vehicle and relocation package if needed.
The successful candidate will have some experience in equine practice and will relish the opportunity to develop their skill set in a nurturing environment alongside an enthusiastic team. We are looking for a positive team player who is keen to grow and develop alongside our equine department.
