The Role
Tower Veterinary Centre, Perth is looking for a small animal veterinary surgeon to join our team. The role can be adapted to either consulting only or can also include clinical ops - the role is completely adaptable. We see a broad range of cases - both surgical and medical in mostly cats and dogs. We do have some rabbits and guinea pigs and pet chickens. There is scope to develop your own interests and we pride ourselves on continuity of care for our clients and work ups by the same vet. There are some great learning opportunities and we are a committed GDP practice with full support from experienced and enthusiastic vets and nurses. Good communication is key for our staff. Allocated time for phone calls, referrals and admin. Genuinely friendly clients in a beautiful part of Scotland.
Rota
Working 40hours per week (Part time hours available)
One half day a week unless you have been working Saturday and you would get a full day off that week.
Saturdays are 1:6 (9am- 4 pm)
Off Sunday
Fair treatment of any extra hours worked with TOIL allowing good work/life balance.
No out of hours as this is covered by Vets Now
Salary
Up to £60,000 negotiable D.O.E.
About us
We are an RCVS accredited single site practice in Perth, Scotland and have an excellent team of six experienced vets, a Graduate Vet, two qualified nurses and three Veterinary nurse students, two who are due to qualify with in the year. There are three fantastic animal care assistants who help keep our level of care at the very best standards. We have a great reception team and a practice manager. Many staff have been with us long term and we have a good team atmosphere.
We have great kit- in house biochemistry and Haematology machines, digital x-ray and state of the art developer, endoscope, ultrasound, blood pressure monitor, tonometer, dental x-ray and a fantastic IM3 dental machine. We are located just out of town with plenty of parking and our premises are currently undergoing full refurbishment.
Applicant Requirements
Ideally would suit a vet with experience but all applicants would be considered. Must be RCVS registered, further certification and qualifications supported and funded.
