The Role
Crown Vets, Inverness are looking for a full/part-time vet surgeon to join their team. Working 40 hours per week, with three nights on call per month and only 1:14 weekend on call, with time off in lieu to give you a good work-life balance. We have ward rounds twice a day, so we are looking for someone who wants to be in a learning culture. A vet who enjoys a busy and growing practice and can remain calm under pressure will fit in great here, whatever stage you are at in your career.
As a large practice, we will always encourage you should you wish to follow a path that enhances the service we can offer to our clients. There are many opportunities for you to progress in the area of clinical interest up to certificate level.
The salary for this role is up to £50,000 depending on experience.
About Us
Crown Vets is an established practice based in the capital of the Highlands. We are a busy companion animal practice, comprising of three practices, and growing. We have state of the art equipment including; ultrasound with doppler, continuous ECG monitoring, cardiac probe and DR x-ray allowing you to offer the best quality of care. In addition to our first opinion service, we have a Referral Practice within the group, currently covering Orthopaedic, Soft Tissue, Dermatology and Pain Management. We are a training practice and believe in supporting the future clinical staff, regularly taking EMS and RVN students. Currently, we have two Certificate holders in Medicine and three vets working towards their Medicine, Soft Tissue and Dental Certificates.
There is an amazing number of outdoor activities in the Highlands, skiing, snowboarding, hill walking, mountain biking, rock climbing, wild swimming to name but a few activities that our team enjoy.
16 Vets, 12 Nurses, 14 support staff, we have two Certificate holders in Medicine and three vets working towards their Medicine, Soft Tissue and Dental Certificates.
Applicant Requirements
Must be RCVS registered and qualified, ideally with experience working in a 1st opinion setting, must be confident in sole charge work. Further certification is encouraged and supported. We are looking for a vet to join our team who is driven, wants to offer the highest level of care to our client’s pets and who will work well as part of a team
