The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Director to join our team at Heath Vets! In this role you will be responsible for the management and leadership of the site and staff alongside an experienced part-time Clinical Director and our Practice Manager. You will be involved in both the clinical and non-clinical aspects of the practice with the opportunity to develop your interests. The rota is evenly shared between consulting and operating, and you will also have dedicated office time throughout the week.
This is a full-time role working 40 hours over 4 days with shifts between 9am-7pm. You will be expected to work 1:2 Saturday mornings between 9am-1pm. No out of hours work.

About Us
We are a well-established, 100% small animal, three branch practice located in Cardiff. Near us you can find a good mix of city life and super countryside can be experienced. We pride ourselves on a good working environment, ensuring good wellbeing for our staff and clients. We are well equipped and have separate cat and dog kennels to allow for maximum comfort for our clients, in house Idexx laboratory, digital and dental x-ray, ultrasound, endo/laparoscope and orthopaedic equipment amongst others.
About the Team and Culture
We have 6 Vets alongside our Nurses and a great support team of Receptionists. We have a friendly and encouraging culture and keenly support case continuity and career development. We are a Registered Veterinary Nurse training practice.
Applicant Requirements
An experienced veterinary surgeon is required, ideally with leadership and management knowledge relevant experience preferred but mentoring and support is available. A good understanding of veterinary finance is highly desirable. RCVS membership and right to work in the UK is essential. Clean driver’s license required.
