We are excited to assist our client in their search for an experienced Farm Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join their supportive and dynamic team on a permanent basis. Serving clients across the Central Belt and beyond, this practice is renowned for offering specialist ambulatory care to farm, smallholder, and equine clients.
This is a full-time, permanent position working 40 hours per week over 4 days. However, part-time applicants may be considered. The role includes participation in the out-of-hours rota. A valid UK driving licence is required.
** Farm Workload: Approximately 30% dairy and 70% beef and sheep, with a mix of pedigree and commercial herds. The practice focuses on fertility planning, preventative medicine, and handling day-to-day emergencies.
** Equine Workload: Primarily routine care for leisure horses and ponies, with capabilities in lameness investigations, endoscopy, gastroscopy, and emergency care.
Salary: Up to £55,000 DOE
Relocation Allowance: Up to £5,000
Welcome Bonus: Up to £2,500
The practice is home to a 10-vet team, including a Clinical Director, supported by a Practice Manager and reception staff. With several certificate holders on the team, the practice is keen to welcome applicants with additional qualifications or those looking to further their career with support for additional certifications.
Located in the historic town of Stirling, the practice is well-connected with motorway links to Glasgow, Edinburgh, and Perth, and is close to the stunning Loch Lomond and The Trossachs. The team is friendly and sociable, regularly participating in local agricultural shows and team social events.
