Are you a veterinary surgeon looking for an opportunity to work in a care driven group with a focus on standards? Do you have a keen interest in exotics? Or alternatively have a passion for GP caseloads? 

If so, we are recruiting for a veterinary surgeon to join our experienced small animal practitioner team in the beautiful, and historic market town of Newmarket!

Our surgery is primarily a small animal first opinion, but we are also an exotics referral practice, and we are proud to provide veterinary care to several local Zoo’s, private exotic collections and marine mammal emergencies.

Our state-of-the-art practice caters for cats, dogs and exotics and has species-specific wards.

The role we are presently recruiting for would suit a confident cat and dog vet looking to further their career within a supportive and progressive team or alternatively a vet with an interest in exotics.

The ideal candidate will be interested in exotics, or have a cat and dog focus and be excited to join a team of Veterinarians, Nurses and Client Care Advisors with a multitude of interests. 

Our Head Veterinarian is an Advanced Practitioner is Zoological Medicine with other Veterinarians studying towards PG Cert’s in the same subject and Advanced Medicine of Cats and Dogs. Our nursing team is passionate about the patients under their care and have excelled their knowledge and skills in an array of subjects to include the Advanced Diploma in Veterinary Nursing and studying towards certificates in Emergency and Critical Care and in Exotics.

A full working week includes 8 hour shifts between the hours of 8.30 to 20.00, participation in a weekend rota and no OOH’s. Having a work/life balance is important to our team and there will be time off in lieu for worked weekends and bank holidays.
