We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Veterinary Surgeon to join our team at New Malden Vets in Kingston upon Thames. The day to day duties include consultations, surgery (routine and more complex including enterotomies, cystotomies, caeasarians etc), responsibility for in-patients and client care. The shift pattern includes 8am-4pm, 11am-8pm and split 8am-1pm/4pm-8pm shifts over a 4 day week. Weekends are 1 in 3 (8am-2pm) Saturday shift, 1 in 6 (9am-10am) Sunday shift and no OOH. Salary dependent on experience. Our practice is a friendly, supportive, busy small animal practice on the SW London/Surrey borders. We work to high general practice standards and have an interesting, varied caseload. Equipment includes a cardiac and abdominal ultrasound machine, digital x-ray, dental x-ray, bronchoscopy and full surgical kit. Our location gives easy, fast access to London in 25 minutes on the train and also access out of London on the A3. With Richmond Park and Wimbledon Common on our doorstep we are lucky to be in a beautiful part of London. We are a team of 6 vets, 8 nurses and many receptionists! Our ideal is to find a vet who will be a great fit in our team and culture, being able to hit the ground running with basic veterinary skills and open to career progression with CPD/learning new skills etc. We are looking for a Veterinary Surgeon who is comfortable with a mix of consulting, imaging and surgery skills (an all-rounder) and we are happy to accommodate/cultivate any special interests.
