Cwmbran, Torfaen, United KingdomWe are a friendly, well established team with low staff turnover. Our practice is newly refurbished with air conditioning, piped oxygen and active scavenging. We are close to the M4, a short drive from Cardiff and the Brecon Beacons.
The role is for 2 days a week Tuesday and Wednesday 9-7 operating and consulting, to cover maternity leave from November 2020. No sole charge or out of hours. The daily routine includes pre-op examination of patients on arrival, performing routine surgeries including neutering, stitch ups, lump removals, medical work ups and also ultrasonography and x-ray when needed. We have a double theatre, large prep room, separate cattery and kennels, digital dental and standard x-ray, endoscopy, bronchoscopy and tonometry available on site, to ensure we can do the best we can at first opinion level.
The candidate must be a confident and friendly MRCVS, looking to utilise and develop their skills in first opinion practice within a supportive team. Experience of emergency medicine and surgery preferred. It is important that they are a good team player, work well with all staff in the practice and have excellent communication skills.
