The role
We are seeking a Veterinary Surgeon to join our Thurmaston practice in Leicester.
Joining our professional, personable team in the practice, you’ll deliver exceptional care by going beyond consulting to listen and empathising, putting patients and clients first, always.
As qualified MRCVS, you’ll already have good experience gained in small animal practice. You’ll be competent in clinical examination and surgery and confident working sole charge or as part of the wider team. Sharing our values being trustworthy, caring and progressive, you will have all the softer skills essential to working effectively, building trusting relationships with your colleagues, harnessing our one team culture.
You will also display good communication skills and the desire to share your knowledge and skills by being an outstanding, positive example to others.
You will have support from the team at the practice along with our experienced Clinical Director, sole charge will be required.
This role is full time working 39 hours per week over 4 days.

Skills and experience
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1-2 years’ UK small animal practice (or UK equivalent) experience and be confident in their recommendations.
We collaborate between all the branches so you are supported whether sole charge or in one of the larger branches.
You must be pet and client-centric and have excellent communication skills, competent in spays and castrates.

Our Thurmaston practice is situated in a lovely village close to the marina and the river Soar with local amenities close by.
We have 15 minute consultations available for all our patients to give the best care available. Supportive and caring team including an Area Manager/Regional Director and Clinical Director.
As well as our in-house services at Medivet Thurmaston you will also get access yo all the services available across the entire Medivet group.
