ROS Equine is an Advanced Equine Sports Medicine Practice located in West Sussex, UK.
We are looking for an enthusiastic equine vet to join our team. Experience would be preferable but not essential. We would initially be very comfortable for a candidate to spend time alongside our experienced veterinary surgeons to build up confidence and skills in all areas of first opinion practice & more complex sports medicine work ups. This will enable the candidate to become a well-rounded first opinion veterinary surgeon as well as rapidly gaining experience in the sports medicine field.
The role involves all the aspects of equine ambulatory work, with a strong emphasis on sports medicine. This comprises visits to professional clients, predominantly showjumping, as well as smaller premises.
Gradual introduction to independent work eventually with your own client base, with support along the way. We aim at providing the chosen candidate with a hands-on approach, in order to help develop their clinical decision-making skills aided with the latest diagnostic and therapeutic equipment.
Extensive training in the fields of diagnostic imaging and sport medicine will be provided. For the right candidate a long term position (directorship) is available.
The practice as a whole is a forward thinking, driven, independent, first opinion practice offering the highest standard of care to a wide range of clients, mostly professionals, predominantly showjumping clientele.
We aim at keeping our team personable, approachable and supportive.
We are based in West Sussex, UK but European travel to international competitions as well as international clients is also necessary.
Salary commensurate with experience.
