If you’re a small animal vet looking to develop your skills in a close-knit, well-established team then look no further than Huddersfield Companion Care.
Our hardworking team; led by our partners and veterinary surgeons Tavi and Larissa Galla, consists of 2 vets, 1 RVN, 2 VCAs, a practice manager and 3 receptionists. Tavi has a keen interest in all aspects of small animal surgery, whereas Larissa has an interest in small animal medicine, and we also welcome a visiting ultrasound specialist unit. You can meet the team here.
This range of expertise combined with the fact we are an established practice with loyal client base means we see, and work-up, a wide variety of cases, with all our surgical cases (except surgical spinal and hip replacement cases) being managed in-house. This provides a fantastic opportunity to progress your interests and take the next step in your career.
In addition, over the past few years our current vets have diversified their roles to suit what they enjoy most whether that be consults or surgery. We can therefore accommodate any preference you may have but would love to find a team member who is happy doing both. We are currently open 6 days a week and you will not be required to cover OOH work. We are happy to discuss full time, part time or flexible hours.
Our recently refurbished practice is based in Huddersfield and close proximity to Leeds and Manchester provides excellent transport links for both train and air travel. We are also lucky to be surrounded by three of the UK’s beautiful national parks.
This is a great opportunity for a veterinary surgeon who is confident with routine consults and surgery to immerse themselves in a varied caseload with a supportive, loyal team to support them. We are offering a competitive salary based on experience and abilities, provide fully funded visa sponsorship for overseas vets. We actively encourage and support certification, among many other benefits you would expect from a major veterinary employer.

We want our colleagues to be as diverse as our clients. Our teams are inclusive and celebrate difference so if you meet our role requirements, we’d love to hear from you.
