Registered Veterinary Nurse required at St Georges Vets - Wolverhampton.

The Role

We are looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our friendly team! This role requires the successful candidate to provide a high standard of Veterinary Nursing to the patients of St Georges Veterinary Group and to provide an excellent level of customer care, client education and to promote preventative health care. The required duties of this role include preparing animals for theatre, monitoring anaesthetics, assisting in theatre if required, positioning animals for x-rays, performing nursing procedures as detailed under Schedule 3 of the Veterinary Surgeons Act, providing intensive nursing care to hospitalised patients, performing detailed and accurate kennel rounds, performing in house laboratory tests. This is a full time position working 5 days a week, 1 in 10 weekends, there is also potential for OOH.

About Us

We have a team of 28 Nurses and 20 Veterinary Surgeons across our hospital and 6 branches with a growing referral practice. We have two Clinical Directors and 1 non-clinical Director across the group. At the hospital we have vets who are certificate holders in diagnostic Imaging, surgery and medicine. Our hospital services include CT scanner, digital x-ray, ultrasound, dental x-ray, In-house blood machines, capnography, physiotherapy, cardiology, and orthopaedics.

Applicant Requirements

We are looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse with experience in practice, however, a new graduate would be suitable for the role as experience can be gained on the job. This is due to our practice having a large team of vets and nurses to provide training, guidance, help and support.
