The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Veterinary Surgeon to join our team here at Bridge St Vets, Driffield.
You will be involved with all aspects of the practice from first consultations through to clinical workups and surgical cases. You will be a self-motivated small animal Veterinary Surgeon looking to embrace general practice with the huge variety of cases, people and animals it presents, as well as enjoying great work/life balance as part of a dedicated vet team.
As a confident communicator, you look forward to meeting and talking with clients on a daily basis, as well as greeting and caring for their companions. The full-time role is a 4-day week and one in three Saturday mornings (there is no OOH). However, we welcome all applicants and are happy to offer your preferred hours.
The salary for the role is up to £65,000 depending on experience.
About Us
Bridge Street Vets was established in 2013 and in that short time has become a very well-respected practice with a huge client base. We have a spacious, light waiting room and prep areas, making it a very pleasant building to work in. We are also a Silver ISFM Cat-Friendly Clinic.
Facilities include;
Two consulting rooms with height adjustable tables (with a third planned),
Separate dog and cat waiting areas and wards,
Isolation ward,
Imaging room, with digital x-ray processor, dental x-ray and ultrasound scanner
In-house IDEXX haematology and biochemistry analysers,
Dedicated operating theatre
Spacious and light preparation area
VN training practice
Fantastic south-facing gardens to the rear provide us with the ideal place for a quiet and relaxing sunny summertime lunch breaks.
About the Team and Culture
Our supportive and caring team consists of three vets, 3 RVNs and an SVN alongside a very experienced client care team. Our Vets are extremely passionate about providing top standards of care and one has a particular interest in feline medicine. We are keen to further develop specific interests with professional development and firmly believe in working together, discussing cases and supporting each other. Our Nurses and support team form the backbone of a well-run and organised practice. We see a large and very varied caseload and also offer a fantastic pet health club encouraging preventative health care!
Applicant Requirements
The right candidate will be a Veterinary Surgeon capable of delivering high quality and personable veterinary care. A desire to be involved in the development and growth of the practice is very important. An experienced candidate would be ideal, but we can also offer mentoring for recent graduates. There will be some minimal sole charge duties.
