Overview: I studied and qualified as a Vet at Universit degli Studi di Sassari (Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of Sassari, Italy, June 2013).I have wanted to be a Vet since a very young age and have been working with animals and had animals at home all my life, as I really enjoy helping them to improve their health conditions and to get the best quality of life they deserve.During my career as a Vet I have always worked with passion and loyalty to assure my patients the best medical cares, and as a sensitive Doctor I have always recognized the importance of my patients feelings, as well as that of their owners, ensuring I am polite and friendly with both pet owners and colleagues.During my studies I did some practical work experiences at the department of animal reproduction focusing on both clinical and surgical areas (in particular small animals), where I wrote a thesis on Vaginal prolapse in pregnant bitches; additionally I did practical work experience in both clinical and surgical treatments during an internship at Veterinary teaching hospital of Sassari and at ASL1 (government), and during an extra training of 3 months at El Palau Veterinary surgery in Valencia, Spain. After my graduation I did a 1year apprenticeship at G.M. Schiaffino Veterinary surgery (Usini, Italy), where I shadowed the head vet and where I also did some locum work (sole charge) with small animals.I moved to the UK (London) at the beginning of 2015 and I attended an English course of 3 months (upper intermediate level, full time course). After I finished the English course I started an apprenticeship at Amwell veterinary practice London- (May 2015 - August 2016); during this training I got the opportunity to shadow the head vet, improving both my vet skills and my English skills, and I also got the opportunity to perform some surgeries (castrations and spays) and to do some locum work with small animals.I joined the Vets4pets group in August 2016, where I have worked for 1 year as full time permanent veterinary surgeon in Vets4pets Accrington; working in a big busy vet environment helped me to develop further skills in both medical and surgical areas, and to improve my confidence in sole charge work, also getting me used to work as part as a big team.
