Overview: My name is Dorota Obałka, I'm 34 years old. I came from Poland. My interest was in veterinary medicine since I was a child, and my studies at the University of Warmia and Mazury at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine have convinced me that I should develop in this field and connect my future with it. I finished my studies in 2012. Throughout my studies and high school, I went to England during the holidays. I mainly worked there as a waitress or bartender. It allowed me to get to know the English culture and develop English to a communicative level. I have been learning the language from the age of 6. I passed the FCE exam.
I have eight years of experience working as a veterinarian surgeon, I am convinced that my mental predispositions and theoretical knowledge will allow me to work effectively in England. During the time working in the veterinary clinic, I have learned a lot, I made diagnoses, treated and performed basic surgical procedures, and performed imaging examinations such as ultrasound and X-ray. I also met many interesting people and established contacts with doctors in my area of work.
I also participated in several medical conferences, constantly learning new methods of treatment and prevention of small animals. I still want to develop in this profession and be able to constantly improve my qualifications.
At work I deal mainly with the treatment of companion animals such as dogs and cats. I don't deal with exotic animals because I don't feel good at it. We diagnose many dermatological and endocrinological cases and perform prophylaxis. Due to the lack of equipment, we do not perform cardiological tests.
I’m independently performs castration and spay procedures. I’m also performs basic soft tissue treatments such as tumors, hematomas and suturing wounds. We mainly use medomidine, ketamine and propofol for anesthesia. I have not had the opportunity to handle inhalation anesthesia.
I use a scaler to clean the teeth and I have completed the abdominal ultrasound examination,
I am sure that working in England will give me great opportunities for further development. I would like to develop in my work as an internist and broaden my knowledge of surgery. I would like to know the methods and treatment algorithms used in England.
I am independent, very responsible, ambitious and consistent in pursuing my goals, as well as resistant to stress. I perform the tasks entrusted to me conscientiously. I am open to new ideas, I learn quickly and establish contacts, which is why I decided to continue working in my learned profession. Studies and numerous internships have developed and strengthened my ability to work in a team, in stressful conditions, and above all have had a positive impact on establishing contact with other people.
I would like to submit my candidacy for the position of a veterinarian in your clinic, which I am sure it will enable me to deepen my knowledge and use all my skills. The rest of the information
I will be happy to fill in the content in my CV during the interview.
