Overview: In my role as a Head Veterinary Nurse across multiple branches, problem solving and ensuring the teams run smoothly are second nature to me. I am well adjusted to working alone and managing my own time to ensure all work is completed to a high professional standard. Not only that working as part of a team is daily life, both professionally and outside of work.

Skills gained through my Volunteering has bled into the way I work, meaning motivating and inspiring team members is something I thrive on. I understand the importance of ensuring all team members are working well together and working to each other’s strengths whilst supporting weaknesses. Elements of my current role and previous roles have given me good insight into all roles in Veterinary life; from reception and administration work, to the bottom of the Nursing structure, to upper management within a practice.

The nursing side of my role for the better part of 15 years has helped me develop confidence in dealing with emergency situations and I thrive as part of a diverse working environment; as each day brings new challenges. As I run many Nurse Clinics on a weekly basis, this has helped me to excel in customer care and means I am comfortable and enjoy communicating with others. My patient and people skills have resulted in me being nominated for numerous public voted Veterinary Awards which I am proud of.

Working in Veterinary surgeries in vastly different demographics has given me insight into the benefits and challenges of both low affluent and high affluent clients; meaning different strategies are required for such challenges.

I am well versed in excel, word, social media and basic web design, meaning learning new computer systems and software is achievable in a short span of time.

I own a full and clean UK driving licence and would be happy to travel offsite when required.

I look forward to learning more about new roles in practice management and demonstrate how my skills may be a fit for your position.
