Overview: I have vast veterinary experience having worked in the industry in various roles. I completed a National Diploma in Animal Management and completed a Foundation Degree in Equine Studies. After this, I pursued this career in various roles such as Head Girl, freelance groom and riding instructor. I then decided I enjoyed the business side of the industry so ventured into more office/veterinary based roles. Within these roles, I expanded my customer service, communication, management and sales experience. I worked within customer service, sales, practice management and most recently training of practices.

I feel like I'm a suitable candidate for the exciting position advertised as I have the hands-on animal experience along with understanding the veterinary industry. I previously ran the small animal clinic as the area manager was based further away at other branches. I oversaw the day to day running of the busy practice along with a branch surgery. This included training and supporting staff, managing locums, stock control, social media, reception work, debt control, inspections and financial aspects. I have strong communication skills and can communicate with a variety of people.

I am a fast learner and enjoy a challenge. I work well as part of a team but I'm also able to work alone using my initiative as in my current role this is very important as its remote working.

The reason I am looking for a new role is that my current one is being made redundant, this is not something I saw happening so I am keen to find a new challenging role.

I am currently based in Yeovil, Somerset but following the recent sale of my house, I am happy to relocate for the right fitting role.

If you need any more information then please do contact me.

I look forward to hearing from you

Kind regards
Melissa
