Overview: As a recent Dance and Media Communications graduate, I can offer creativity, passion and strong practical skills. I choreographed many dances and created various media pieces during my degree including blogs, magazine reviews and a short documentary. Over the three years I developed a stronger interest in the media communications side of my joint honors, with a particular fascination in social media. This stemmed from a project on micro celebrities where I produced a social media page for a ‘fake’ blogger and using techniques such as popular hash tags, gained over one thousand followers in a few weeks (over the target of one thousand followers). I applied the practices I learnt from this project in a dance project where I was part of the marketing team for a dance company. As part of the marketing team, I was responsible for the branding of the company by designing a company logo and advertising the company through social media sites, posters and t-shirts. In addition to the skills I attained from my university degree, I acquired many qualities from working in retail as a supervisor, temporary manager and sales adviser including communicative, leadership and business skills.

I was also an after school dance teacher at Hayes Park Primary School, where I was responsible for teaching and looking after a group of thirty children (from ages seven to eleven years old). In addition, I was the leader of the dance club for the lower school years at Swakeleys Secondary School and participated in voluntary assisted teaching at Highfield Primary School. I also partook in voluntary assisted shopping days for the elderly and disabled, whereby I assisted them with their purchases and helped them to enjoy their day.
