Overview: I am a dual citizen of United Kingdom and Brazil. I am currently a Final Year Veterinary Medicine Student at Universidade Federal Fluminense (UFF) working towards passing the RCVS statutory exam to be able to start working as a veterinary surgeon in the UK. During my course I have taken part in many practices in my university’s hospital and farm where I learned how to administer oral medication, subcutaneous and intramuscular injections. In Brazil I have done an externship in a small animal clinic at a practice where I worked night rotas, assisted in emergencies and procedures. In the UK I have been working as a Locum Veterinary Care Assistant for two months. I am familiar with British culture, proficient in English and would be happy to have a verbal discussion about seeing practice, my skills and your needs at any time, which would also allow you to assess my language skills.
I am looking for Extra Mural Studies in the UK to gain familiarity with the high standards of British veterinary practice. This is the final step that I need to be able to graduate and become just as good in practice as in theory.
