Overview: Dear Sir /Madam

I am writing to you with regards to the Student Veterinary Nurse role as advertised on your website. I am particularly interested in your practice as I would like to work within a small and friendly veterinary clinic.
I have recently studied 2 years of veterinary nursing and applied animal behaviour at Anglia Ruskin University. Throughout my time at university I gained significant experience and knowledge having worked in a number of different veterinary practices. These placements have also required me to be flexible and extremely self-motivated, particularly when undertaking night duty. Before I joined university I was a kennel maid for the Garden Vets in Chippenham and this is gave me a feel for what it is like working in a veterinary nurse assistant’s role and showed me how demanding it can be.
Having grown up on a farm, I have developed a huge interest in animal wellbeing and behaviour. I have strong communication communication skills which I have continued to develop through advising and educating clients with regards to their animals and providing them with appropriate support and education.
I am very willing to learn new skills, especially when this will benefit the care that I can give to the animals. I am a kind, bubbly person and I am always willing to help anyone who asks. I am also a strong team player which is particularly important when working in a caring profession. I’m a very determined and motivated individual who will always put the care of the animals first.
I look forward to hearing from you.

Yours sincerely
Olivia Bailey
