Overview: I have recently graduated from the University of Glasgow and I am looking for a job in mixed practice. My main areas of interest are fertility work in farm animals and small animal internal medicine. I would like to work in mixed practice because I enjoy working with all species and I want to build my confidence in all areas of veterinary practice to become a well-rounded vet.
While at university, I saw practice in a range of small and farm animal practices. I built my confidence in manual pregnancy diagnosis and had the chance to get involved with LDA surgeries, castration and dehorning. I also had the opportunity to get involved in routine small animal surgeries and saw a diverse range of cases in a busy hospital environment. I thoroughly enjoyed all of my EMS and I am looking forward to getting the chance to put what I have learnt into practice.
In my spare time, I play Squash and have previously played for a womens team in the West of Scotland League and I spent time on the University of Glasgow Squash club committee. This taught me how to work individually as part of a team and provided the opportunity to meet people from all different backgrounds, which has built my self-confidence and improved my communication skills. I enjoy watercolour painting, baking and hiking.
