This flexi CPD course provides the veterinary nurse with an introduction to canine ophthalmic conditions. The course discusses the clinical ophthalmic exam, disease processes, diagnostics, treatments and nursing considerations. By the end of the final module, you will have the tools to assess and support patients with diagnosed ophthalmic conditions and provide long-term nursing care to visual impaired dogs.

The Speakers

Amber Foote CertAVN (Teaching, Coaching & Mentoring), BSc(Hons), RVN, C-SQP<br /> <br /> <br /> Amber studied for three years with Myerscough College where she graduated with FdSc in Veterinary Nursing, qualifying as a Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) in 2017. Amber worked in mixed and general practices before moving into ophthalmic referral, where she was appointed lead veterinary nurse. She continued her studies whilst working as lead ophthalmic RVN, for her BSc (Hons) in Veterinary Nursing.  Amber moved into veterinary nurse lecturing whilst studying her Certificate in Advanced Veterinary Nursing in the Teaching, Coaching and Mentoring Pathway, which she achieved in 2023. Currently she is practising as an Animal Care Lecturer. She is particularly interested in wildlife, ophthalmic and medical nursing.
