About this course
Recognise and deal with complications of cancer and its treatment

Cancer is often seen as a chronic condition of old dogs. However, it can lead to acute presentation, which may be life-threatening but can be treated and offer comfortable months ahead for the patient.

This webinar discusses the most common oncological emergencies, related to the tumour itself, to paraneoplastic syndromes, or to treatment. We will discuss how to deal with these emergencies and how to prevent them.

Why do this course?
This webinar will be aimed at vets who want to get an overview of treatment for tumour-related emergencies in order to offer their client up-to-date knowledge on this topic, but also to vets who are keen to administer chemotherapy in their practice and want to prepare themselves to do so in the safest possible way.

A convenient and flexible way to earn some CPD hours without leaving home is to select webinars to view from our extensive library of recorded webinars. They are great value for busy practitioners seeking quality CPD at a time of their choice. Participants will receive a handout (slides and/or notes) to support their viewing session and a CPD certificate.
Participants gain access to the webinar for two weeks which allows them to view it at their leisure and convenience as well as review aspects as needed to enhance their learning.
Members of the BVA Young Vets Network receive a 50% discount on our recorded webinars (subject to availability – ten discounted places available per webinar per year).
