Who hasn’t struggled with a tricky eye patient, a client overwhelmed by eye drops, or the question: Is this animal in pain - or even able to see?
Eye patients often present unique challenges whether due to blindness, brachycephalic anatomy, or a difficult temperament. This session offers veterinary nurses practical, hands-on tips for stress-free handling, from essential basics to evidence-based tools that improve compliance, such as “chill pills” and subpalpebral lavage systems. You’ll also gain valuable background knowledge on ophthalmic medications - like why one drop really is enough - and learn how to recognise signs of blindness and ocular pain. All of this is not only useful in practice but also enhances your ability to educate and support pet owners effectively.
Who is it for?
