About this course
Do you worry about how to manage patients with multiple- traumatic injuries and serious wounds? Do traumatic eye injuries terrify you and the thought of penetrating wounds to the neck or thorax fill you with dread?

If so then this course will help you learn tips to cope with these complex patients and manage high-risk anaesthetics more safely.

This course covers extensive soft tissue injuries including the management of skin wounds (triage, dressing, surgical techniques), neck and thoracic trauma cases, ophthalmologic emergencies and how to anaesthetise patients with complex injuries. We will provide you with a comprehensive guide so you can review, consolidate and update your knowledge on the management of these challenging patients. This is the second of a two-part series, can be taken independently to the first trauma management or as a follow-on course.

Why do this course?
The course aims to equip you with the tools that are required to manage the trauma patient and so increase your confidence and reduce your stress! This course will be excellent for anyone in general practice or vets working in emergency practices. It will also be useful for vets with a specific interest in surgery, anaesthesia and ophthalmology or studying for advanced practitioner certificates.

The webinars for this course will be pre-recorded and can be viewed as recorded versions throughout the course. Live Q&A sessions with the tutors will run on the following dates at 1.30pm London time.
