Farm Supplies Store Manager
Full Time - On Site - Hereford Area
Are you from an agricultural background and ready to take on a new challenge?
We're working with a respected, family-run agricultural business specialising in animal health, nutrition and agronomy. They're looking for someone practical, proactive and ready to step into a key role running their rural retail store. Whether you're already in agri-retail or you've worked on-farm and are confident you can learn quickly, this is a chance to build a long-term career with real responsibility and independence.
The Role
This is a hands-on, standalone role where you'll take ownership of the day-to-day running of the store:
- Managing stock levels, placing orders and overseeing deliveries
- Providing trusted product advice and support to local farmers and customers
- Building strong relationships by identifying new opportunities to support customers' needs
- Ensuring smooth and efficient store operations with a commercial mindset
- Working independently, using your initiative to keep things running to a high standard
- Maintaining compliance, including product handling and advice under relevant regulations
What We're Looking For
This role would suit someone from a farming or agricultural background who's looking to take a step up, with the drive to learn the retail side quickly
Key Requirements:
- A strong understanding or experience in agriculture, livestock or rural services
- Good organisational skills and a hands-on approach to problem solving
- Comfortable working independently and making practical decisions day to day
- AMTRA SQP/RAMA qualification is essential, or you must currently be working toward it
- A full UK driving licence
What's On Offer?
- Base salary of up to £40K DOE
- Annual bonus and profit-share scheme
- 28 days holiday ( including bank holidays)
- Support with training and qualifications
- A genuine opportunity to take ownership of a key site and shape your future in the business
If you're ready to step into a role where you can take the lead, work independently and make a real difference in your local farming community, we'd love to hear from you!
