We are pleased to be working with a globally established animal health business to recruit a Key Account Manager within their large animal division. This is a high-impact, customer-facing role offering strong visibility across a well-connected UK and European commercial structure.
This opportunity is ideally suited to an experienced Key Account Manager within large animal POM-V sales, or a high-performing Territory Manager/Senior Territory Manager looking to step up into a strategic, account-led position. Full training and development will be provided to support this transition. A strong foundation in ruminant health is essential.
This role is fundamentally focused on key account management, with responsibility for developing and executing strategic partnerships across corporate veterinary groups and trade customers. The successful candidate will play a central role in driving long-term commercial growth through high-value account relationships, while working cross-functionally with sales, marketing, and technical teams.
Role Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and management of key accounts across the large animal sector, with a strong focus on cattle and ruminant health.
- Build and maintain senior-level relationships within corporate veterinary groups and trade partners.
- Develop and execute tailored account plans to drive growth, profitability, and customer retention.
- Negotiate commercial agreements and ensure delivery against contractual commitments.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders (sales, marketing, technical) to align on strategy, product positioning, and customer needs.
- Act as the voice of the customer internally, providing market insight, competitor intelligence, and feedback on product performance.
- Support the wider field team on key account activity, ensuring consistency of approach and high service levels.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within strategic accounts.
Key Skills:
- Proven experience within large animal POM-V sales (cattle/ruminant focus essential).
- Strong understanding of ruminant health.
- Demonstrated success in managing or developing high-value customer relationships.
- Commercially astute with strong negotiation and influencing skills.
- Highly personable, with the ability to engage and build credibility at senior stakeholder level.
- Self-motivated and driven, with a desire to step into a more strategic key account role.
