A well-established UK manufacturer and distributor is undertaking an exciting digital transformation. The business has recently implemented new systems and is now looking for a talented Data Analyst from a Manufacturing background to help them harness the power of their data to drive smarter decision-making and operational efficiency.
The Role:
This is a newly created role where you’ll be instrumental in shaping how data is used to support commercial growth and operational optimisation. Working with modern ERP and reporting tools, you’ll provide insights that inform pricing, sales, purchasing, and customer behaviour – helping the business become more data-driven and agile.
Location: Lancashire - mostly on site.
Salary: Negotiable
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyse sales, cost, pricing, and purchasing data to uncover trends and business opportunities
- Present findings and suggestions to the Senior Leadership Team
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to optimise performance and improve decision-making
- Build dashboards and management reports to present clear, actionable insights
- Support the leadership team with strategic recommendations based on data analysis
- Drive initiatives that enhance operational efficiency and support continuous improvement
The Successful Candidate:
- Experience as a Data Analyst from a Manufacturing background
- Skilled with analytical tools such as Power BI, Excel, SQL
- Experienced with Microsoft Dynamics would be advantageous
- Strong commercial awareness – able to translate data into meaningful business insights
- Comfortable communicating findings to non-technical senior stakeholders
- Curious, proactive, and motivated by making a tangible business impact
