Job Title: Territory Account Manager - Ruminant
Location: South West Ireland
Are you a passionate Account Manager with a background in agriculture or farming? Or perhaps you're currently working as a Veterinary Territory Manager within the ruminant sector? If so, this could be the opportunity you’ve been waiting for.
We’re looking for an experienced Account Manager who’s eager to be part of something innovative and dynamic. In this role, you’ll be responsible for developing and managing relationships with both existing and new veterinary clients — including independent practices, buying groups, and corporate accounts.
Alongside promoting and selling our solutions, you’ll also provide product support in collaboration with our Technical Services Vet, helping to deliver effective vaccination strategies that ensure optimal herd health and disease prevention.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and grow customer accounts through retention and new business development
- Manage relationships to maximise sales in your territory
- Develop growth plans using company resources for coordinated efforts
- Understand and promote product features and benefits
- Keep customer data updated in CRM
- Engage key decision-makers and support technical/marketing visits
- Submit required documentation promptly
- Assist with sales targets and market analysis with line manager
- Contribute to improvement initiatives and field projects
- Resolve customer issues efficiently
Requirements:
- Full clean Irish driving licence and eligibility to work in the Republic of Ireland
- Valid passport for travel within the UK and EU
- Minimum 2–3 years’ sales experience in animal health, preferably pharmaceuticals
- Relevant qualifications and knowledge in animal science, especially in the ruminant sector
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Teams, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and CRM systems
- Able to cover the full SW and SE Ireland territory
- Residency within the territory Monday to Friday required
- Availability for evening/weekend meetings (conferences, sales meetings, CPD events) and occasional overnight stays
- Full product training and ongoing support provided by the National Sales Manager and technical team
Package:
- Up to €65K base salary + competitive bonus
- Salary of up to €60K DOE
- Quarterly performance-based bonus
- Company car
- 25 days holiday plus bank holidays
- Death in service cover and travel insurance from day one
- Eligibility to join the company pension and private health care schemes after 3 months
