✨ Not your typical locum RVN shift
If you’re an experienced RVN who enjoys mentoring, leading and actually using your clinical knowledge; this is something a bit different.
GVC is working in partnership with a university-led Veterinary Teaching Clinic in London to support upcoming Oct-Dec clinic dates, building a small pool of confident, senior RVNs.
The Opportunity
This is a hands-on teaching environment where you’ll work alongside academic and clinical teams, supporting fourth-year veterinary students as they develop practical skills in:
- Anaesthesia
- Surgery (routine neutering)
- Post-operative care
You won’t just be “covering a shift” ; you’ll be guiding, supervising and shaping future vets, while maintaining high clinical standards throughout.
The Role
Acting as the lead RVN on clinic days, you’ll:
- Supervise small student groups throughout procedures
- Support anaesthesia and theatre activity
- Oversee patient care from admission through to discharge
- Ensure smooth, organised clinic flow
- Provide structured feedback to students
- Maintain excellent clinical, welfare and hygiene standards
- Work closely with academic, RCVS and technical staff
This is a responsibility-led role where confidence and leadership are key.
About You
This role would suit:

✔️ Clinical Coaches or those with mentoring experience
✔️ Nurses confident in anaesthesia + theatre
✔️ Calm, organised individuals who enjoy leading

- Shifts: 8:30am – 4:30pm
- £20-£30 phw DOE
