We are seeking a Locum Small Animal Vet Surgeon to provide cover ASAP for a busy, 100% small animal practice in the Newport area.
This opportunity offers flexibility for up to 5 days per week (Monday to Friday, 8:25am – 6:55pm). While a locum with experience in both consulting and operating is ideal, candidates strictly interested in consulting-only roles are also welcome to apply.
🏥 Practice & Team Setup:
- Busy 100% small animal practice.
- Supported on-site by a friendly, established team of 2–3 Vets, 2 RVNs, 2 VCAs, and 3 Receptionists.
📅 Rota Details:
- Start Date: Immediate / ASAP.
- Working Days: Up to 5 days per week (Monday – Friday).
- Shift Hours: 8:25am – 6:55pm.
- Duties: Consulting and operating (consult-only options considered).
👤 Candidate Requirements:
- RCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon.
- Ideally 2–3+ years qualified (not suitable for new graduates).
- Confident clinician capable of managing busy small animal caseloads.
