The Opportunity

A friendly, well-equipped small animal practice in Hertfordshire is seeking a Locum Veterinary Surgeon to provide ad hoc holiday cover throughout July 2026.

This is a great opportunity for a vet looking for a supportive first-opinion environment with a good clinical caseload, modern facilities, and a collaborative team where you’ll be well supported throughout the day. Consults-only can also be considered for the right medicine-focused vet.

The Practice

This modern practice offers a strong first-opinion setup with excellent facilities and a welcoming team culture. The practice is well-equipped to support both routine and more complex GP work, with a varied caseload and experienced nursing support throughout the day.

The Role

• Routine first-opinion consultations
• Small animal surgery
• Diagnostics and case workups
• Inpatient care and case management
• Working closely alongside an experienced nursing team
