We’re working with a busy, well-established small animal practice in Kent that is looking to secure one or two experienced locum Veterinary Surgeons to support the team on an ongoing basis.
This is a hands-on clinical role and would suit confident all-rounders who enjoy a varied caseload and being fully involved in the day-to-day running of a practice. Consult-only vets will not be considered for this position.
The practice can offer a consistent workload with flexibility on the number of days worked, making this a great opportunity for locums seeking regular, reliable bookings.
Role details
This position involves a full mix of consultations and surgery, with the expectation that the successful locum(s) are surgically competent and confident working independently when required. The practice is open to either one full-time locum or two locums sharing the rota.
Hours and pattern
The role offers 5 or 6 days per week, depending on the vet’s availability.
Hours are 8:30am – 6:00pm each day.
There is flexibility on the number of days worked for the right candidate.
About you
You will be an experienced Veterinary Surgeon with strong small animal skills and proven surgical competence. You’ll be confident managing your own caseload and happy to be fully involved in both consults and procedures. A proactive, team-focused approach is essential.
