Are you a Mixed Vet looking for a rewarding short-term contract this autumn? JR is assisting a practice based in the scenic county of Roxburghshire to find a confident Locum Veterinary Surgeon for the month of September 2026.
This role offers a fantastic balance, primarily focusing on small animal consultations with the occasional farm visit. While the ability to operate is highly preferred, the core of the day-to-day duties will be small animal-focused.
📅 Shift Pattern & Requirements:
- Duration: The full month of September 2026.
- On-Call (OOH): Required to cover one weekend out of hours, plus one night on-call during the week.
- Sole Charge: Confidence with sole charge is required for on-call duties.
- Accommodation: No on-site accommodation is provided, but a supportive contribution/help toward securing local accommodation is available.
👤 Candidate Requirements:
- Must be a qualified Veterinary Surgeon with active RCVS registration.
- Confident managing small animal cases and comfortable handling occasional farm veterinary work.
- Competent with sole charge and emergency on-call work (operating skills preferred).
