My client in South Wales is looking for a Locum Veterinary Surgeon to support their team from 29th December until 13th February, ideally. They are happy to consider block bookings as well as ad hoc or odd dates, so there is flexibility for the right candidate.
Shift times may vary, but the majority will be 9:00–5:30 or 9:15–5:45, with occasional 9:30–6:00 consult shifts. For vets who are confident with operations, there are also early ops shifts (8:00–4:30) and late shifts (11:30–8:00) available.
There is no sole charge during consult shifts. However, vets working the early ops shift may occasionally have around one hour of sole charge at the start of the day, and those on the late shift may have a couple of hours of sole charge at the end of the day.
Consultations are 15 minutes, and the caseload includes routine soft tissue surgery and neutering only. There is no requirement for orthopaedic surgery.
