We’re recruiting a confident Locum Veterinary Surgeon to support a busy, well-staffed hospital in Sweden, covering multiple paternity leave requirements from ASAP through to 9th August. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced locum who enjoys a varied caseload and structured rota, with strong clinical backup at all times.
Role details:
🩺 Locum Veterinary Surgeon – Hospital Based
📍 Location: Sweden
📆 ASAP – 9th August
⏰ 5 days per week
🕖 Weekday shifts: 7am–4pm or 12pm–9pm
📅 Weekends: 1:3 / 1:4 (Sat & Sun 8am–5pm)
🔄 TOIL provided for weekends worked
🌙 1–2 nights per week on-call (following twilight shift)
📞 On-call is quiet – approx. 1 call per week
👥 No sole charge – large, experienced team of around 30 staff
🩺 Mix of consults, routine ops and emergency cases
⏱️ 30-minute consultation slots
💉 Confident, self-sufficient surgeon required
Other information:
🏠 Accommodation available – local apartments paid for by the hospital (20–30 mins by public transport)
🚗 Transport support may be available if required
🗣️ Fully English-speaking locums very welcome
