We’re recruiting an experienced OOH Locum Veterinary Surgeon for waking night shifts at a large, modern veterinary hospital in the West Midlands.
This is a brilliant opportunity for a Vet who genuinely enjoys ECC/OOH work and is confident progressing cases overnight (not just “patching up” until morning).
Dates Available:
- September 2026: 1, 7, 8, 10, 11, 12, 14, 15, 17, 18, 28, 29
- October 2026: 2, 3, 5
Shift Pattern:
- Night shifts: 7:00pm – 8:00am
- Waking shift
- Sole charge Vet working alongside an OOH RVN
- Focus on inpatient care and emergencies
- Covering the hospital’s own clients
Rates / Budget:
- £800–£1000 per night (DOE)
- Accommodation: No accommodation provided
- £50 per night worked accommodation allowance (hotel options locally; easy access via public transport)

This is a large, modern veterinary hospital with an extensive range of facilities, including:
- 6 operating theatres
- 9 consultation rooms
- CT
- Digital X-ray
- Endoscopy
- Dental facilities
- Chemotherapy suite
- Separate cat and dog wards
