We are seeking a dedicated Locum Veterinary Surgeon to join a friendly, supportive and busy small animal practice in West Sussex from January 2027 for an initial period of 3–6 months.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work alongside an experienced veterinary team, including certificate holders, 9 qualified RVNs and an excellent front-of-house support team.
The practice is ideally looking for someone who can work full-time, although part-time candidates will also be considered.
The role can be tailored to suit the successful candidate, with the option of:
🐾 Consulting-only duties, or
🐾 3 days of consults and 1 day of surgery per week
Working Hours:
⏰ Typical shifts include:
- 8:00am – 6:00pm
- 9:00am – 7:00pm
- One late shift per week: 10:00am – 8:00pm
Weekend Rota:
📅 1 in 4 weekends
Saturday: 9:00am – 6:00pm
Sunday: 10:00am – 4:00pm
✅ Experienced veterinary team with certificate holders
✅ 9 qualified RVNs
✅ Excellent front-of-house team
✅ Flexible consult-only or consult/surgery role
✅ Out-of-hours covered by a local hospital

Payment: Umbrella, Sole Trader or PAYE payroll accepted.
