Over the last sixty years, my client has endeavoured to not only maintain but also improve their practices and be progressive, whether it's with patient care or improvements to team welfare. As a result, all of their practices have received RCVS accreditation.
This cutting-edge hospital has a hydrotherapy unit, physiotherapy service (in-house physiotherapist), and a dedicated rabbit and exotic pet clinic.
The majority of the team has been there for several years, and this position became available due to an internal promotion. The team all share the same ethos of doing what is best for patients, owners, and each other.
Responsibilities will include :
- Maintaining and improving clinical standards in accordance with RCVS standards
- Being in charge of daily operations and organisation of the hospital services and team
- Performance management through 1:1 catch up and regular performance reviews to encourage career growth and development
- Visiting new and existing practices that use OOH service as the primary point of contact
- Implementing relevant client and team feedback
- Liasing with Practice Managers and Clinical Directors
This position is mostly non-clinical, but it does require you to step in clinically when necessary, so a RVN/MRCVS is required ideally with some hospital/referral experience. Recent management experience would be desirable but training and support are provided regardless.
This would entail working various shifts, including nights and weekends, to assist the OOH team as needed. The hours would be 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with some flexibility required for the aforementioned odd shifts.
A successful candidate will be detail-oriented, have strong leadership and organisational skills, and a desire to develop their colleagues and the company. You will able make decisions under pressure considering all factors and be able to prioritise tasks based on deadlines and importance.
The salary range is very wide dependant on experience, proportion of OOH worked etc; £35k to £44k salary. With many benefits including being able to buy and sell holidays, health and life insurance.
