JR Veterinary has an exciting opportunity for a Practice Manager to join an established, state of the art, multi-site practice in Hampshire.
This is a great role and perfect for someone with a Clinical background looking to take that next step in their career.
Working with Senior members of staff you will be responsible for supporting the non-clinical day-to-day running of the busy practices, managing and leading an enthusiastic, vibrant team of Veterinary Surgeons, Nurses and support staff, as well as identifying and implementing business objectives to maximise business potential.
Duties Include:
- Assisting in the recruitment process (including onboarding and training)
- Helping to resolve staff grievances and assisting with staff performance reviews
- The upkeep of practice policies, handbooks, health & safety, and RCVS requirements
- Supporting the management of absenteeism (conducting return to work interviews etc.)
- Working with our external marketers to advertise and promote our clinics
- Helping to implement new employment legislation
- Development of the practice vision and culture
- Overseeing the staff pet discount policy
- Conceiving methods to boost and maintain staff morale
- Assisting with customer feedback and complaints
- Involvement in practice meetings and minute taking
- Conducting competitor research
The successful Practice Manager will be able to demonstrate the below skills and attributes
- Experience working within a Clinical environment
- Strong leadership abilities
- Impeccable communication skills
- Organised and adaptable
- Able manage a large workout whilst remaining motivated and driven
- Empathetic with excellent rapport building skills
- Full Driver’s License with access to a working car – due to this role being across multiple sites this is essential.
This is a permanent position working 40 hours a week ( Monday – Friday ) with no OOH, weekends, or Bank Holidays.
Salary/ Benefits
