This is an appointment for a busy, high-demand site. The role requires a robust and confident manager who thrives within complex, fast-paced environments and can bring structure, stability, and inspiring leadership to a large, multi-disciplinary team.
The Role Overview
As the primary operational leader, you will hold full accountability for the day-to-day performance and efficiency of the hospital. You will bridge the gap between clinical excellence and commercial success by:
- Driving high operational standards, site efficiency, and team engagement.
- Leading, mentoring, and developing a diverse workforce across both clinical and non-clinical departments.
- Partnering closely with Regional Directors to implement strategic growth and maintain seamless site cohesion.
- Proactively solving complex problems with a solutions-focused, collaborative approach.
- The Built-In Support Structure
You will not be managing this high-volume hospital alone. The site comes equipped with a dedicated, established support tier to allow you to focus on high-level operations:
- A dedicated Deputy Manager to assist with daily staff management and floor operations.
- A full-time Hospital Administrator to manage localised paperwork, scheduling, and site logistics.
Key Requirements
- Veterinary Management Experience: Proven track record managing operations within a 24-hour veterinary hospital or a large, complex multi-site branch environment.
- Robust Leadership: Demonstrable experience guiding, organizing, and developing large teams at multiple tier levels.
- Pressure Tolerance: Highly comfortable making decisive, structured decisions in a fast-moving, high-pressure environment.
- Stakeholder Management: Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively alongside senior stakeholders and Directors.
