An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Area Practice Manager to lead the clinical and operational success of a group of practices across Shropshire and Wrexham. This hands-on leadership role is ideal for a commercially aware manager who excels in driving operational excellence, supporting multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring outstanding patient care.
Role & Schedule Details:
- Position: Area Practice Manager
- Salary: £45,000 – £53,000 DOE
- Working Pattern: Monday – Friday (40 hours per week)
- On-Call Rota: 1 in 11 operational weekend on-call share with Time Off in Lieu (TOIL), plus a share of bank holiday on-call cover
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct, supportive line management to Practice Managers, Vets, Nurses, and Support Staff to foster a high-performing culture.
- Oversee regional financial performance, including P&L management, KPIs, and cost control.
- Maintain full accountability for regulatory compliance and practice standards across all regional sites.
- Enhance the client journey, operational efficiency, and overall service delivery.
- Partner with clinical leadership to champion high clinical standards and best practices.
- Lead regional development and oversee the introduction and integration of new practice sites.
- Manage regional staffing levels and rotas to ensure optimal productivity across all locations.
- Participate in an operational on-call rota to support out-of-hours teams during weekends and bank holidays.
Candidate Requirements:
- Senior management or supervisory experience in a multi-site environment (healthcare or service-led sector background preferred).
- Proven track record in people leadership, P&L accountability, and operational management.
